Education Grants 2012-2013
Who can apply?
Bòrd na Gàidhlig has set up this fund to support those currently working towards a career in Gaelic Education.
Applications are welcomed from individuals currently studying on Initial Teacher Education (ITE) courses leading to a career in Gaelic Teaching.
We will consider applications from:
- Students undertaking a PGDE in Gaelic Education (both Primary and Secondary – Gaelic as a subject and subjects through the medium of Gaelic)
- Students in the final two years of a Gaelic Education Undergraduate Degree, (B.Ed; MA Gàidhlig le Foghlam)
In some cases applications will be considered from students wishing to undertake Gaelic language courses (e.g. short courses or distance learning) prior to an ITE course. Those who apply for such funding are expected to have already secured a place on an ITE course and any such application should be discussed with the Gaelic Teacher Recruitment Officer at Bòrd na Gàidhlig prior to submission.
