National Plan for Gaelic
The publication of a National Plan for Gaelic by Bòrd na Gàidhlig was a significant milestone for Gaelic development. It sets out a blueprint for the development of Gaelic across the areas of, Language Acquisition, Language Usage, Language Status and Corpus development. The National Plan for Gaelic is in effect a long-term strategic plan for Bòrd na Gàidhlig, and for other organisations which have a role to play in Gaelic development.
Ginealach Ùr na Gàidhlig
In December 2009, Bòrd na Gàidhlig launched the action plan “Ginealach Ùr na Gàidhlig” detailing its proposals for an acceleration in the number of people learning and using Gaelic and also more effective use of existing resources and structures.
